Awarded to the most sustainable house in Australia based on energy efficency through design and technolgy usage, use of renewable and recycled materials, minimal waste in construction, use of renewable power sources and harvesting and conservation of water.

This beach side residence demonstrates outstanding resource efficiency through its manufacturing process where all materials are carefully selected for their own enviromental impact during manufacture taking into account sustainabily through planation timbers and recycled timebers (40%) going into compenents, low waste in manufacturing process and low use of energy in the completed home .

A factory-built home designed to fit comfortably into a rainforest setting on a hillside block earned the title of Housing Industry Association - Stramit Building Products 2008 Australian Project Home of the Year for Gateway Constructions at the HIA-CSR national awards in Sydney.
